I bought this cable with the sole purpose of extending the short cable that the Playstation Eye has been designed with. I already own a USB extension cable that I bought from a local electronics store but that cable does not allow the Playstation Eye to connect to the PS3 for some reason. This cable allows the PS3 EYE to connect to the PS3.
I purchased this USB extension cable because it was supposedly designed to work specifically with the Playstation Eye. Not sure if that is true or not, but it does exactly what it was designed to do and at a reasonable price. It was purchased simply because the cable attached to the PS Eye itself simply wasn’t long enough for my purposes. I recommend it in order to extend the reach of the PS Eye or any other device where extra length is required to reach a USB port or between a couple of devices. Well worth the purchase price.

Great little unit at an unbelievably low price : December 24, 2000
First off, contrary to what someone has stated before me, the Genesis 3 DOES have stereo output! (If you have the optional stereo AV cables–it uses the same ones as the Genesis 2). This Genesis model is my model of choice. It is ultra small (about the size of a portable CD player) and ultra lightweight. You’ll be amazed how tiny this model is. It makes a great space saver and because it weighs not more than a few ounces it is very portable. And out of the 700-1000 Genesis games out there there are only one or two that I heard don’t work with this model...
